Viewing Activity Logs

How to search, filter, and explore activity log records

The activity log list provides detailed access to every action recorded in your system. Use powerful search and filtering tools to find exactly what you need.

Accessing Activity Logs

Administrators: Navigate to Activity Logs > View All Logs in the admin sidebar.

Partners: Navigate to Activity in the partner sidebar to view logs for your business.

Searching Activity Logs

Use the search bar at the top to find activities by description. The search looks for matches in the activity description field.

Example searches:

  • "Card was updated" — Find all card updates
  • "Member was created" — Find new member registrations
  • "Reward was deleted" — Find deleted rewards
  • "Login failed" — Find failed authentication attempts

Search results appear as you type.

Filtering Activity Logs

Combine multiple filters to narrow down results:

Category Filter

Filter by resource type:

All Categories Show everything
Authentication Login, logout, and failed login events
Cards Loyalty card and stamp card activities
Members Member account activities
Staff Staff account activities
Rewards Reward activities
Clubs Club/program activities
Transactions Points and stamps transactions
Networks Network activities

Event Filter

Filter by action type:

Event Description
All Events Show everything
Created New records added
Updated Existing records modified
Deleted Records removed
Login Successful authentications
Logout User sign-outs
Login Failed Failed authentication attempts

User Type Filter

Filter by who performed the action:

User Type Description
All User Types Show everything
Admin Actions by administrators
Partner Actions by business owners
Staff Actions by employees
Member Actions by customers
System Automated processes

Subject Type Filter

Filter by what was affected:

Subject Description
All Subject Types Show everything
Card Activities affecting cards
Member Activities affecting member accounts
Club Activities affecting clubs
Reward Activities affecting rewards
Staff Activities affecting staff accounts
Network Activities affecting networks

Understanding the Results Table

Each row shows:

Category A colored badge indicating the resource type (Cards, Members, Rewards, etc.).

Description Plain English explanation of what happened:

  • "Card was created"
  • "Member was updated"
  • "Reward was deleted"

Event A colored badge showing the action type:

  • Created (green)
  • Updated (amber)
  • Deleted (red)
  • Login (blue)
  • Logout (gray)
  • Login Failed (red)

User The person who performed the action, including:

  • Name
  • User type badge (Admin, Partner, Staff, Member, System)

Subject The record that was affected. Click to view it (if it still exists).

Timestamp When the activity occurred in relative time ("5 minutes ago", "2 hours ago").

IP Address The IP address of the request.

Viewing Activity Details

Click on any activity row to view full details:

Changes Section For update events, see exactly what changed:

  • Old value (before the change)
  • New value (after the change)

Technical Details

  • Full timestamp
  • User agent (browser/device)
  • IP address
  • Database IDs

Common Use Cases

Finding Who Changed Something

  1. Filter by Subject Type (e.g., Card)
  2. Filter by Event (Updated)
  3. Search for the item name if known
  4. Review user names and timestamps

Investigating Failed Logins

  1. Filter by Category: Authentication
  2. Filter by Event: Login Failed
  3. Look for patterns (same IP, same email)
  4. Check timestamps for attack timing

Tracking New Registrations

  1. Filter by Category: Members
  2. Filter by Event: Created
  3. Review registration dates and sources

Auditing Deletions

  1. Filter by Event: Deleted
  2. Review what was removed
  3. Identify who performed deletions
  4. Understand the context from related activities
