Troubleshooting verification codes and login problems.

This guide helps you resolve common issues with verification codes and logging in.

Verification Code Not Received

If you don't receive your 6-digit code within a minute:

Check Your Spam Folder

Verification emails sometimes get filtered as spam. Check your:

  • Spam folder
  • Junk folder
  • Promotions tab (Gmail)
  • Other mail folders

If you find it there, mark it as "Not Spam" to prevent future filtering.

Wait a Bit Longer

Email delivery can be delayed during high traffic periods. Wait 1-2 minutes before requesting a new code.

Verify Your Email Address

Make sure you entered your email correctly:

  1. Check for typos
  2. Verify the domain (gmail.com, not gmial.com)
  3. Ensure no extra spaces

Request a New Code

After 60 seconds, you can request a fresh code:

  1. Click "Resend code"
  2. Wait for the countdown timer
  3. Check your email again

Still Not Receiving Codes?

Check email provider settings: Some email providers block automated messages. Check your email security settings.

Try a different email: If possible, update your account to use a different email address.

Contact support: If codes never arrive, there may be an email delivery issue. Contact platform support with:

  • Your email address
  • When you tried to sign in
  • Whether you checked spam

"Invalid Code" Error

If you see "Invalid code" when entering your verification code:

Check for Typos

Carefully verify each digit:

  • Compare with the email
  • Watch for similar-looking numbers (0 vs O, 1 vs l)
  • Ensure you entered all 6 digits

Use the Latest Code

If you requested multiple codes:

  • Use only the most recent code
  • Older codes won't work
  • Each new request invalidates previous codes

Check Expiration

Codes expire after 10 minutes:

  • Check the timestamp in your email
  • If more than 10 minutes passed, request a new code
  • Use codes promptly after receiving them

Try Copy-Paste

Instead of typing:

  1. Select the 6-digit code in your email
  2. Copy it (Ctrl+C or Cmd+C)
  3. Paste it into the first input box
  4. The digits distribute automatically

"Too Many Attempts" Message

After 5 wrong code entries, the code locks for security.

To continue:

  1. Click "Send me a login code" or "Resend code"
  2. Wait for the new code in your email
  3. Enter it carefully
  4. Double-check each digit before submitting

Tip: Copy-paste the code to avoid typos.

"Code Expired" Error

Verification codes are only valid for 10 minutes.

To get a new code:

  1. Return to the login page (if redirected)
  2. Click "Send me a login code"
  3. Check your email
  4. Enter the new code within 10 minutes

Tip: Keep your email open while logging in so you can quickly access the code.

"Too Many Requests" or Rate Limit

You can only request codes every 60 seconds to prevent abuse.

If you see this message:

  • Wait for the countdown timer to reach zero
  • Then click "Resend code"
  • Avoid clicking multiple times

Why this happens:

  • Prevents spam and abuse
  • Protects your account from attacks
  • Ensures email system isn't overloaded

"No Account Found" Error

This email address isn't registered in the system.

Possible reasons:

Wrong Email Address

  • Check for typos
  • Try other email addresses you use
  • Verify the domain is correct

Account Not Created Yet

  • Members and Partners: Click the registration link to create an account
  • Staff and Admins: Contact your manager or administrator to create an account for you

Wrong Login Page

  • Members: Use /login
  • Staff: Use /staff/login
  • Partners: Use /partner/login
  • Admins: Use /admin/login

Make sure you're on the correct login page for your user type.

Password vs. Code Login

"I Have a Password, But Want to Use a Code"

If your account has a password:

  1. Enter your email
  2. Click "Continue"
  3. You'll see both options
  4. Click "Send me a login code" instead of entering your password

"I Don't Have a Password"

Some accounts are passwordless by default:

  • You'll only see the "Send me a login code" option
  • This is normal and secure
  • You don't need to create a password

"I Want to Set a Password"

Contact your administrator or check your profile settings to see if password creation is available for your account type.

Profile Verification Issues

When updating your profile, you need to verify your identity with a code.

"Verify Your Identity" Button Not Working

If clicking "Send Verification Code" does nothing:

  • Check browser console for errors
  • Try refreshing the page
  • Try a different browser
  • Clear browser cache

Code Required for Every Change

For security, profile updates always require verification:

  • This confirms you're the account owner
  • Prevents unauthorized changes
  • Protects your account information

This is expected behavior.

"Verification Failed" Error

If verification fails:

  1. Request a new code
  2. Make sure you're using the latest code
  3. Check that the code hasn't expired
  4. Try again with a fresh code

Browser and Device Issues

Code Input Not Working

If you can't type in the code boxes:

  • Try clicking directly on the first box
  • Refresh the page
  • Try a different browser
  • Disable browser extensions
  • Clear browser cache

Auto-Submit Not Working

The code should submit automatically when you enter the 6th digit.

If it doesn't:

  • Try pressing Enter
  • Look for a Submit button
  • Refresh and try again
  • Try a different browser

Paste Not Working

If pasting the code doesn't work:

  • Click the first input box
  • Paste the code (Ctrl+V or Cmd+V)
  • If that fails, type each digit manually

Email Delivery Delays

Codes Arriving Late

If codes consistently arrive after several minutes:

Check email provider:

  • Some providers delay automated emails
  • Check provider's spam filtering settings
  • Consider using a different email service

Server delays:

  • High traffic can slow email delivery
  • Wait 2-3 minutes before requesting a new code
  • Avoid requesting multiple codes quickly

Multiple Codes Received

If you receive several codes:

  • Use only the most recent one
  • Older codes are automatically invalidated
  • This happens when you request multiple codes

Account Locked or Inactive

"This Account Is Not Active"

Your account has been deactivated.

What to do:

  • Members: Contact platform support
  • Staff: Contact your manager or business owner
  • Partners: Contact the platform administrator
  • Admins: Contact another super admin

Account Suspended

If your account was suspended for security reasons:

  • Contact support or administration
  • Provide verification of your identity
  • Follow their instructions to restore access

Getting Additional Help

If you've tried these solutions and still can't sign in:

Gather this information:

  • Your email address
  • User type (Member, Staff, Partner, Admin)
  • Error messages you're seeing
  • When the problem started
  • Steps you've already tried

Contact support:

  • Provide the information above
  • Include screenshots if possible
  • Be patient while they investigate

Prevention Tips

Use a reliable email provider: Choose an email service with good deliverability.

Keep email accessible: Make sure you can access your email from your device.

Check spam regularly: Occasionally check spam folders and mark legitimate emails as "Not Spam."

Use copy-paste: Reduce typos by copying codes from email.

Act quickly: Use codes within a few minutes of receiving them.

One code at a time: Don't request multiple codes. Wait for each one to arrive.
