Claiming Vouchers via QR Code.

Scan QR codes to claim exclusive batch-generated vouchers.

Some vouchers aren't publicly available—you need to claim them by scanning a QR code. These exclusive vouchers come from marketing campaigns, in-store promotions, or special events. Scan the QR code, claim your voucher, and it's yours to use.

How QR Code Claiming Works

Businesses create batches of unique voucher codes for promotions. Each code can only be claimed by one person. When you scan the QR code:

  1. You see the voucher details
  2. You claim your unique voucher
  3. It's added to My Cards permanently
  4. You can redeem it at the store

Think of it like grabbing a coupon from a stack—once you take one, it's yours.

Businesses share claim QR codes through:

In-Store

  • Posters and signage
  • Table tents at restaurants
  • Counter displays
  • Printed receipts
  • Product packaging

Online

  • Email newsletters
  • Social media posts
  • Website banners
  • Digital ads

Events

  • Trade show booths
  • Grand opening promotions
  • Popup events
  • Loyalty member events

Claiming a Voucher

Step 1: Scan the QR Code

Use your phone's camera to scan the QR code. Most phones open a link automatically, or you may need to tap the notification.

Step 2: View the Voucher

The claim page shows:

  • Voucher design (colors, logo, branding)
  • Discount value (e.g., "20% OFF")
  • Title and description
  • Any requirements or restrictions

Take a moment to review—make sure it's an offer you want.

Step 3: Log In (If Needed)

If you're not logged in:

  1. Click Claim My Voucher
  2. You'll be redirected to log in or create an account
  3. After logging in, you return to the claim page
  4. Now you can complete the claim

💡 Tip: Stay logged in on your phone for faster claiming at future promotions.

Step 4: Claim Your Voucher

  1. Click the Claim My Voucher button (green)
  2. Brief loading animation
  3. 🎉 Confetti celebration!
  4. Redirected to your new voucher's detail page

Step 5: Confirmation

You receive:

  • On-screen success message
  • Email confirmation with voucher details
  • Voucher visible in My Cards

After Claiming

Your claimed voucher:

  • Appears in My Cards
  • Has a unique code assigned just to you
  • Is ready to redeem at checkout
  • Shows full terms and conditions

Claimed Vouchers Are Permanent

Unlike added vouchers, claimed vouchers cannot be removed from My Cards. This is because:

  • The unique code was assigned specifically to you
  • The business tracks claimed vouchers for analytics
  • It prevents gaming the system

Don't worry—unused claimed vouchers don't affect anything. They just expire when their validity period ends.

Claim Page States

Ready to Claim

Normal state—you see the voucher and can claim it.

Already Claimed

If you've already claimed from this batch:

  • "You've already claimed this voucher" message
  • Link to view your existing voucher
  • Link to My Cards

Note: Each batch gives you one voucher. You can't claim multiple times.

Promotion Paused

If the business temporarily paused the campaign:

  • "Promotion Temporarily Paused" message
  • Batch details visible (title, description)
  • No claim button
  • Check back later or contact the business

All Claimed

If all vouchers in the batch have been claimed:

  • "No vouchers available" message
  • The promotion ran out of codes
  • Check the business for future offers

Common Questions

"Do I need an account to claim?"

Yes. You must be logged in to claim a voucher. This ensures:

  • The voucher is linked to your profile
  • You can access it later in My Cards
  • The business can track redemptions

"Can I claim from multiple batches?"

Yes! Each batch is separate. If a business runs three campaigns, you can claim from all three.

"What if I scan but don't claim?"

Nothing happens. The voucher stays available until someone claims it. You can return later (if not logged in, for example).

"Can I share the QR code with friends?"

Yes, but each person claims their own unique voucher. The QR code leads to a claim page—not to a specific voucher code.

"What if the QR code is damaged?"

Ask the business for:

  • A working QR code
  • The direct claim URL
  • An alternative promotion

"I claimed but don't see the voucher"

Try:

  1. Refresh My Cards (pull down on mobile)
  2. Log out and back in
  3. Check spam folder for confirmation email
  4. Wait a moment—sometimes there's a brief delay

Check Your Login First

Stay logged in on your phone. Claiming is instant when you don't need to authenticate.

Act Fast at Events

Event QR codes may have limited quantities. Claim as soon as you scan.

Screenshot the Voucher

After claiming, take a screenshot. If you lose access temporarily, you have the code.

Check Requirements Before Redeeming

Review minimum purchase amounts and expiry dates before your shopping trip.

Troubleshooting

"QR code won't scan"

  • Clean your camera lens
  • Ensure good lighting
  • Hold phone steady, 6-12 inches away
  • Try the camera app directly (not a QR scanner app)

"Page says promotion is paused"

The business temporarily stopped claims. Check back later or contact them directly.

"Says I already claimed but I don't see it"

  1. Check My Cards thoroughly
  2. Search your email for confirmation
  3. You may have claimed from a different account

"Error when clicking Claim"

  • Check your internet connection
  • Refresh the page and try again
  • Try a different browser
  • Contact the business if it persists
