Redeeming Vouchers In-Store.

You've saved or claimed a voucher—now it's time to use it! Redeeming is simple: show your voucher QR code to staff at checkout, and they apply your discount.

Before You Visit

Check Your Voucher

Open the voucher in My Cards and verify:

• Still valid — Not expired
• Uses remaining — Haven't hit your limit
• Requirements — Note minimum purchase amount

Plan Your Purchase

If there's a minimum purchase:

• Plan items that meet or exceed it
• The voucher won't work below the minimum

At Checkout

Step 1: Open Your Voucher

1. Open the app or website
2. Go to My Cards
3. Tap your voucher
4. View the voucher detail page

Step 2: Show QR Code

1. Tap Show QR Code to Staff
2. Full-screen QR code appears
3. Increase screen brightness if needed
4. Hold phone steady for scanning

Step 3: Staff Scans

The staff member:

1. Points their scanner at your QR code
2. System validates the voucher instantly
3. Confirms the discount with you
4. Applies it to your purchase

Step 4: Pay

Pay the reduced amount. That's it!

What Gets Validated

When staff scans your voucher, the system checks:

If everything passes, your discount is calculated and shown.

Understanding Your Discount

Percentage Discounts

The system calculates your savings:

Order Total: $50.00
Voucher: 20% off
Your Discount: $10.00
You Pay: $40.00

If there's a maximum cap (e.g., "20% off, up to $25"):

Order Total: $200.00
Voucher: 20% off (max $25)
Calculated: $40.00
Capped at: $25.00
You Pay: $175.00

Fixed Amount Discounts

Flat amount off your order:

Order Total: $50.00
Voucher: $10 off
Your Discount: $10.00
You Pay: $40.00

Free Product

Staff manually adds the free item:

Order Total: $25.00
Voucher: Free medium coffee
Coffee Value: $4.50
You Receive: Medium coffee at no charge
You Pay: $25.00

After Redemption

Confirmation

You may see:

• On-screen success message (if you're watching)
• Updated redemption count on your voucher
• Record in your voucher's redemption history

Voucher Status Updates

After redemption:

• Single-use vouchers: Marked as used, can't use again
• Multi-use vouchers: Usage count increases
• Usage tracking: Your personal redemption history updates

If Something Goes Wrong

"Voucher Not Found"

Staff's scanner didn't read the code correctly.

Try:

1. Refresh your voucher page
2. Increase screen brightness
3. Clean your screen
4. Have staff try again
5. Use manual code entry instead

"Voucher Expired"

The voucher's validity period has ended.

Solution: Unfortunately, expired vouchers can't be used. Check for other active vouchers in My Cards.

"Maximum Uses Exceeded"

You've already used this voucher the maximum number of times allowed.

Solution: This voucher is done. Look for other vouchers you can use.

"Minimum Purchase Not Met"

Your order total is below the voucher's requirement.

Example: Voucher requires $50 minimum, but your order is $42.

Options:

• Add items to reach the minimum
• Save the voucher for a future purchase

"Not Eligible"

You don't meet the voucher's requirements (tier, new member status, etc.).

Solution: The voucher may be for a different customer segment. Check the requirements on the voucher detail page.

Manual Code Entry

If QR scanning doesn't work, staff can enter the code manually:

1. Tell staff your voucher code (shown on voucher detail page)
2. They type it into their system
3. Same validation and discount process

💡 Tip: Take a screenshot of your voucher code as backup.

Tips for Smooth Redemption

Have Voucher Ready

Open your voucher before reaching the counter. Don't hold up the line while searching.

Mention It Early

Tell staff "I have a voucher" when you start your order. They may need to know before ringing things up.

Check Minimum First

Know the minimum purchase amount before shopping. Nothing worse than being $2 short.

Screenshot for Backup

Screenshots work if you have connectivity issues. Staff can manually enter the code.

Ask About Combining

Some vouchers can combine with other offers or loyalty points. Ask if you're unsure.

Combining with Loyalty Points

Vouchers and loyalty points are separate systems:

• Use a voucher for instant discount
• Still earn points on the purchase (typically on the pre-discount amount)
• Points earned aren't reduced by the voucher

Example:

Purchase: $50.00
Voucher: $10 off
You Pay: $40.00
Points Earned: Based on $50 (full amount)

Viewing Redemption History

See all your past voucher uses:

1. Go to My Cards
2. Open a voucher
3. Scroll to "Your Redemptions"

History shows:

• Date and time of each use
• Discount received
• Location (if multiple)
