Introduction.

What is Reward Loyalty and how does it work?

Jan 15, 2026

How Reward Loyalty works for customers

Reward Loyalty is a digital loyalty card platform that helps businesses reward their customers. It works like a modern stamp card—customers collect points at participating businesses and redeem them for rewards.

💡 Evaluating the platform? During installation, you can enable demo data to populate your database with sample partners, members, loyalty cards, and transactions. This lets you explore all features without creating content from scratch.

How It Works

The platform connects four types of users:

Administrators control the entire system. They create networks and onboard managers who bring in businesses.

Partners are businesses that create loyalty cards. A coffee shop, restaurant, or retail store becomes a partner to offer their own rewards program.

Staff are employees who work at partner locations. They scan customer QR codes to award points and process reward redemptions.

Members are customers who collect loyalty cards. They earn points at participating businesses and redeem them for rewards.

The Flow

  1. An administrator creates a network and assigns managers
  2. Managers onboard partner businesses
  3. Partners create loyalty cards with rewards
  4. Partners add staff members who can award points
  5. Members scan QR codes to collect cards and access their wallet
  6. Staff scan member QR codes to award points or redeem rewards

Key Concepts

Networks organize managers and partners into groups. Think of them as regions, brands, or shopping centers. Networks are invisible to members; they're organizational.

Clubs help partners organize their staff. A restaurant with multiple locations might create a club for each location, ensuring staff interact with their own customers only.

Loyalty Cards define the rewards program. Each card has rules for earning points, a design, and one or more rewards members can redeem.

Stamp Cards work like digital punch cards. Customers collect stamps with each purchase and earn a reward when the card is complete.

Vouchers provide instant-value discounts through promotional codes. Percentage off, fixed amounts, free products, free shipping, or bonus loyalty points for customers.

Rewards are what members save for. A free coffee, a discount, or a special gift. Partners define what points are worth.

Shared Wallet is the architecture that allows customers to use one account across all participating businesses. See The Shared Wallet Concept for how this benefits agencies and multi-business operators.

Anonymous Member Mode removes signup friction. Visitors can start earning points and collecting stamps with no registration required. They can add an email later to sync their account across devices. See Anonymous Members for configuration.
