Introduction to the staff dashboard and point-of-sale operations

As a staff member, you process customer transactions at the point of sale. Your main tasks are scanning customer QR codes, awarding points and stamps, and processing reward redemptions.

What Is a Staff Member?

Staff members are employees who interact directly with customers to manage loyalty transactions. You might be a cashier, server, sales associate, or customer service representative.

What You Can Do

The staff dashboard lets you:

Task Description
Scan QR Codes Identify customers by scanning their QR codes
Award Points Add loyalty points based on purchase amounts
Add Stamps Record stamp card progress
Process Redemptions Fulfill reward claims
View Customer Info See customer balance and history

Accessing the Dashboard

  1. Go to /staff on the platform
  2. Enter your work email address
  3. Click Send me a login code
  4. Enter the verification code from your email
  5. You're ready to help customers!

The staff dashboard is optimized for mobile devices, making it easy to use on a phone or tablet at the point of sale.

Your Daily Workflow

Awarding Points (Loyalty Cards)

When a customer makes a purchase:

  1. Ask if they have a loyalty card
  2. Have them show their QR code
  3. Scan the code with your device
  4. Enter the purchase amount
  5. Confirm the points to award
  6. Customer receives their points instantly

Adding Stamps (Stamp Cards)

When a customer qualifies for a stamp:

  1. Ask if they have a stamp card
  2. Have them show their QR code
  3. Scan the code with your device
  4. Confirm the stamp addition
  5. Customer sees their progress update

Processing Redemptions

When a customer wants to redeem a reward:

  1. Ask what reward they want to claim
  2. Have them show their QR code
  3. Scan the code with your device
  4. Verify they have enough points/stamps
  5. Confirm the redemption
  6. Provide the reward to the customer

Club Assignment

You're assigned to a specific club (location). You can only:

  • Award points/stamps for cards in your club
  • Process redemptions for cards in your club
  • View customers enrolled in your club's cards

If you work at multiple locations, contact your manager about multi-club access.

Tips for Great Service

Keep it quick: Practice the scanning workflow to serve customers efficiently during busy times.

Promote the program: Remind customers to show their card with every purchase.

Handle issues gracefully: If something goes wrong, explain calmly and get manager help if needed.

Stay charged: Keep your device charged—you'll use it frequently.
