Connect ChatGPT.

Add your Reward Loyalty address to ChatGPT as a custom MCP server and sign in through the browser.

This page is for the platform owner or a business owner who wants to connect ChatGPT to Reward Loyalty. You add your address as a custom MCP server and sign in through the browser. You never paste a key.

ChatGPT's own menus can differ by plan and version. Your account or workspace policy decides whether you can add a custom MCP server, as OpenAI's guide Connect from ChatGPT explains. If a step doesn't match what you see, check that guide.

Before you start

  • AI connections are on. See Overview.
  • Your installation runs over HTTPS at the root of its domain, and ChatGPT can reach it from the public internet. The AI connections page shows Browser sign-in is ready. when the HTTPS part holds.
  • A business owner also needs the Agent API switch, the business's Agent API permission and a plan with the Agent API. See Overview.

Connect ChatGPT

  1. Open your account menu, then choose AI connections.
  2. Choose ChatGPT in the client picker, and copy your address.
  3. In ChatGPT, open Plugins and choose the plus button.
  4. Choose Add custom MCP server.
  5. Enter a name and a description.
  6. Under Connection, paste your address as the server URL. It ends in /mcp.
  7. Set the authentication to OAuth.
  8. Read the warning and choose I understand and want to continue.
  9. Choose Create as a plugin.
  10. Review the tools ChatGPT found.

ChatGPT opens Reward Loyalty in your browser. Sign in if you aren't already, then answer the consent page:

  • How much access? Read everything is the default. Read and make changes you approve adds everyday changes, and risky ones wait for you. Custom lets you choose area by area.
  • Include money records adds stored-value passes. Ends after sets the end date: 1, 7 or 30 days, 7 by default.

Click Allow access. Choose how much access explains each choice.

Check that it connected

The AI connections page turns its waiting line into a connection card, for example ChatGPT · connected just now. If the card doesn't appear, see Troubleshooting. If it still doesn't connect, contact support with the message you saw.

Ask your first question

Start with a read. A platform owner can ask "How did the platform do this week?" A business owner can ask "Which stamp card is doing best this month?"

When ChatGPT asks for a risky change

ChatGPT gets a review link from Reward Loyalty and passes it on to you. The request also appears under Approvals on your AI connections page. Nothing changes until you approve it. See Approvals. You can end the connection at any time.
