Open your hosting control panel. You can complete the standard setup there without terminal commands. If an option is missing, contact hosting support and describe the step you need help with.

The jobs every control panel must handle

  1. Select PHP 8.4.1 or newer for the app's address.
  2. Create a database and save its connection details.
  3. Connect an address such as loyalty.example.com and turn on HTTPS.
  4. Find the folder where you'll upload Reward Loyalty.

Scheduled tasks are optional and can wait until after installation.

1. Select PHP and the extensions

Look for PHP version or PHP settings and select PHP 8.4.1 or newer. The installer will check the extensions and tell you if any are missing. Your host can use the extension list to enable them.

Some panels apply PHP changes to every website on the account. Check which sites the setting covers before saving.

2. Create the production database

Look for Databases or MySQL. For a live site:

  1. Create a MySQL or MariaDB database for Reward Loyalty.
  2. Create a database user with a unique password and give it access to that database.
  3. Save the database host, port, name, username, and password in your password manager. You'll enter them in the installer.

Copy the full names shown by the panel, including any account prefix. Use the database host it provides; this is often localhost.

If the installer reports a database permission error, share the message and permission details with your host. Don't delete tables or reset the database to clear an error.

3. Prepare the web root

Your host creates a website folder, also called the public web directory or web root, for each domain or subdomain. Find the folder for your Reward Loyalty address in File Manager.

The extracted package opens at the application root. It contains app, bootstrap, config, public, and other files. Upload every top-level file and folder there, including hidden files such as .htaccess.

Do not upload only the package's internal public directory. The standard package includes the routing rules it needs; keep the domain pointed at the folder your host provided.

Use an address such as loyalty.example.com, not example.com/loyalty. Keep your host's normal file permissions. If the installer cannot write a file, ask hosting support to fix access; never set permissions to 777.

Find the settings in your panel

Labels vary by hosting plan. These are the places to look; your host can help if your panel differs.
