What business owners can ask.

Jobs a business owner can hand to an AI client, with example requests, the tools behind them and the access each needs.

On this page

This page is for business owners. Each job below lists example requests, the tools the client uses, and the access it needs. Say it your own way.

A connection sees only your business, and only the features on your plan. If a job below has no tool on your connection, your plan or your access doesn't include it. See Troubleshooting.

You choose the access when you connect. Read everything covers every read on this page except stored-money passes, which need Include money records. A job that changes something needs Read and make changes you approve, or a Custom connection that allows changes in that area. The Read and make changes you approve choice permits reads and immediate changes as well as actions requiring approval. Selecting this does not make every change wait for you. Drafts stay drafts. Sending an email to members, deleting anything and moving stored money wait for your approval. See Approvals.

The full tool list is in Business tools. Every call shows in the connection's trail and in the activity log. See The activity trail.

Start a job in one click

Clients that support MCP prompts list these jobs for your connection, for example as slash commands. Choose one and the client starts the job with the steps already written. A prompt only gives the client its instructions. It adds no access, and risky changes still wait for your approval. A prompt appears only when your connection has every tool the job needs, so a connection with less access or a smaller plan sees fewer.

Prompt What it does Needs
weekly_business_report A short report on how the business did this week: members, visits, points and stamps, and what to do next. It only reads. get_partner_dashboard
launch_stamp_card Sets up a new stamp card: the reward, the stamps it takes and the club it belongs to. The client shows you the card and waits for your yes before it creates it. create_stamp_card and list_clubs
win_back_lapsed_members Sets up the automatic reward for members who stopped coming. Switching the reward on emails members, so it waits for your approval. the automation tools and list_vouchers
birthday_offer_setup Sets up the automatic birthday reward. Switching it on waits for your approval. the automation tools and list_vouchers
program_health_check Checks each loyalty card, stamp card, voucher and pass for signs it isn't working, with one suggested fix per program. It asks before it changes anything. a program list tool
fix_a_member_balance Finds out why a member's points balance is wrong and corrects it with your agreement. Undoing a credit that was just made runs at once after you confirm. Deleting the last transaction waits for your approval. a member search or list tool, get_member_balance, list_transactions and an undo or delete tool

Read your numbers

  • "How is my business doing this month?"
  • "Which stamp card is doing best this month?"
  • "How is my 10% voucher doing this week?"

The client uses get_partner_dashboard for the dashboard figures and the analytics tools for one program: get_loyalty_card_analytics, get_stamp_card_analytics, get_voucher_analytics and get_pass_analytics. To compare cards, it lists them and reads each one. Each figure comes with a note on how Reward Loyalty calculated it and a link to the page that shows it.

Access: reads only. Insights area.

Set up and change programs

  • "Create a coffee card: buy 9, the 10th is free."
  • "Add a voucher for 10% off, valid until the end of the month."
  • "Raise the free coffee reward to 200 points."

The client can create and update clubs, loyalty cards, rewards, stamp cards, vouchers, prepaid passes, tiers and staff. It saves them through the same forms and checks as the dashboard, so the same plan limits and rules apply. A request the dashboard form would refuse, such as a stamp card with an unsupported number of stamps, comes back with the reason.

Deleting a club, card, reward, stamp card, voucher, pass, tier or staff member waits for your approval. The review page lists what the delete touches.

Access: Programs area, with change access.

Find and understand members

  • "Find Jane Smith."
  • "Show me everything Jane has with my business."
  • "Who are my most active members?"

The client starts with search, which looks across your members, programs, staff and tickets. get_member_overview shows one member's balances, stamps, passes, vouchers, tiers and achievements. You see only members who interacted with your business.

Access: reads only. Members area.

Reach members by email

  • "Which customers have no recorded visit in 60 days? Draft a win-back email for them."
  • "Save a segment of members with no visit in 60 days."
  • "How many people would this email reach?"

Segments start with customers who interacted with the business in the past 365 days. They measure recorded activity, not every physical visit.

The client can save a segment, count its members, and write a campaign draft. A draft never sends. The audience includes only members who opted in to offers by email. To send, the client prepares the send and you approve it on the review page, which shows the subject, the text and how many members it reaches. A long campaign goes out in batches of up to 25 emails. Each batch needs its own approval.

The client can also switch a club's automatic emails on or off. Switching an emailing automation on waits for your approval. So does any change that would start member emails again, such as reactivating a voucher or club an automation depends on. Approvals lists them.

Access: Messages area for campaigns and automations, Members area for segments. Both need the matching plan feature.

Work the counter

  • "Give Jane the 50 points she missed yesterday."
  • "Add one stamp to Jane's coffee card."
  • "Redeem voucher SUMMER10 for Jane."
  • "Undo the last points I gave Jane."

The client can record a purchase or an explicit points amount, deduct points, redeem rewards, add stamps and redeem stamp rewards. It can also redeem vouchers, scan prepaid passes and create a points claim code (a code that lets whoever holds it claim the points once). Counter actions run at once.

The client can undo the last points credit, the last stamps, a voucher redemption or the last pass visit. An undo names the entry it read, and it stops with a conflict if a newer entry arrived.

Deleting a ledger entry outright, as opposed to undoing it, waits for your approval.

Access: Counter area, with change access.

Grow with achievements, referrals and member cards

  • "Which achievements are members earning?"
  • "Retry the reward that failed for Jane."
  • "Generate 50 blank member cards for the spring market."

The client reads and changes the achievements program, retries or delivers failed rewards, manages member referral programs and your invite code, and generates printed member cards. Closing a failed reward for good, disabling a member card and deleting blank cards wait for your approval.

Access: Growth area. Each part needs its plan feature.

Keep your business page and staff up to date

  • "Change our opening hours on Sundays."
  • "Add a staff member for the Main Street club."
  • "Open a support ticket."

The client can update your public business page, contact details and opening hours, add staff, and open or answer support tickets. Logos and cover images stay in Reward Loyalty. They need a file from your device.

Access: Business area, with change access.

Connect your systems

  • "Add a webhook for new purchases."
  • "Is my Shopify connection healthy?"
  • "Send a test webhook to my endpoint."

The client reads the state of your store connections and webhook endpoints and their delivery numbers. It can create or update a webhook endpoint, send a test, and pause or resume a store connection. Webhook signing secrets are never returned. Copy a secret from the webhooks page in Reward Loyalty. Disconnecting a store and deleting a webhook endpoint wait for your approval. Store credentials and connecting a store stay in Reward Loyalty.

Access: Integrations area. Webhooks need the webhooks plan feature.

Stored-money passes

  • "What is the balance on Jane's gift pass?"
  • "Spend €8 from Jane's gift pass for her lunch."

Reading stored-money passes and their analytics needs Include money records. Selling a stored-money pass, spending from it and reversing a spend also need change access to Programs. Over MCP, each of them waits for your approval, and the review page shows the balance before and after.

What an AI client can't do for you

Some tasks stay in Reward Loyalty on purpose, such as store credentials, passwords, creating keys, uploads and refunds on stored money. What stays out of reach has the full list. The What your AI can do section on your AI connections page lists each area and what stays with you.
