Your installation is ready for a quick check before you invite customers. Use test accounts for these steps.

1. Check sign-in

Request an admin sign-in code and use it to open your dashboard. Check spam if the email doesn't arrive. If it still fails, follow Set up email.

2. Try a purchase

Create a test business, staff account, member, and a loyalty card. Sign in as staff, record a purchase, then check that the member receives the expected points.

3. Check an image

Upload a business logo or card image. Reopen the page and check that it appears.

Fix any failed check before inviting customers. If you need help, share the error message and the step you were following with support.

4. Check your backups

Confirm that your hosting plan backs up the database, uploaded images, and app settings. Know where to find a backup and who can restore it. Ask your hosting provider to help test a restore on a private copy before you rely on it. See backups and test copies for the details.

Optional: scheduled tasks

Scheduled tasks are optional. Core loyalty features work without a cron job. Reward Loyalty runs due loyalty tasks when you or your staff use the admin, business, or staff dashboards.

For more predictable timing, including when nobody is using those dashboards, your host can add a scheduled task. Without one, some tasks wait for the next dashboard activity. See optional scheduled tasks.

If a hosting check needs attention

Open Administration → Health center for information to share with your host. A scheduler warning means no scheduled run was detected; it does not mean the core loyalty features require cron.

The default queue settings need no separate worker. For a specific server warning or performance problem, use the technical reference. You don't need to change those settings to complete this checklist.

When an update is available

Follow Updating to back up and try it on a private copy first. You don't need an update package to finish your first installation.

Ready for the first program

Every program belongs to a business, so create the first business account.

  1. In Admin → Partners, select Create.
  2. Choose its network and a plan that includes the programs you plan to run. See Plans and pricing.
  3. Enter its name and sign-in email.
  4. Type a password, or select Generate password.
  5. Select Create.

If you run the install for your own shop, your shop is that first business. To let businesses sign up themselves instead, turn on partner registration.

Then, as that business, add its business details, create a loyalty card or another program, and invite the staff who will use it. A new business starts with its welcome and reward-ready member messages switched on.
